Refund and Return Policy
At Stanford Hills Estate, we are committed to ensuring that our customers are satisfied with their wine purchases. If you are not entirely happy with your order, we’re here to help. Please review our Refund and Return Policy for full details.
1. Returns
Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, we cannot offer you a full refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a return:
- The wine must be unopened, in its original condition, and in the original packaging.
- Bottles that have been opened or consumed are not eligible for returns, except in cases of a product defect.
Non-returnable items:
Certain types of items are exempt from being returned, including:
- Perishable goods like food products
- Gift cards
- Downloadable software or promotional items
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.
2. Partial Refunds
In some cases, partial refunds may be granted for:
- Any wine not in its original condition, is damaged, or missing parts for reasons not due to our error
- Any wine returned more than 30 days after delivery
3. Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you via email at info@stanfordhills.co.za regarding the approval or rejection of your refund.
If approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment within a certain number of days.
Late or Missing Refunds
If you haven’t received your refund yet, please:
- Check your bank account again
- Contact your credit card company (it may take some time before your refund is officially posted)
- Contact your bank (processing times can vary)

4. Sale Items
Only regular-priced items may be refunded; sale items are not eligible for refunds.
5. Exchanges
We only replace wines if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same wine, please contact us at info@stanfordhills.co.za and send your item to:
Weltevrede Farm, Stanford, 7210, South Africa.
6. Gifts
If the wine was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of the return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be emailed to you.
If the wine wasn’t marked as a gift at the time of purchase, or if the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver.
7. Delivery Policy
At this time, we only offer national delivery within South Africa. Unfortunately, we do not provide international shipping. Please ensure the delivery address you provide is within South Africa to avoid any delays or issues with your order.
8. Shipping Returns
To return your wine, please mail it to:
Weltevrede Farm, Stanford, 7210, South Africa.
You will be responsible for paying your own shipping costs for returning the item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Depending on your location, the time it takes for your exchanged product to reach you may vary. We recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance, as we cannot guarantee receipt of your returned item.
